The word healing is easy to use when writing about healthcare architecture.

Perhaps too easy.

A garden becomes a healing garden.

Natural light becomes therapeutic.

A quiet room becomes evidence that design improves health.

The language can move far beyond what the architecture has actually demonstrated.

But that does not allow me to say that a particular rendering, garden or material choice at BANG CHAK will produce a medical outcome.

What architecture can responsibly discuss is more specific.

Can arrival feel less abrupt.

Can someone choose a more private seat.

Can natural elements remain visible.

Can circulation be easier to understand.

Can the environment avoid adding unnecessary discomfort.

These are design questions.

They may contribute to a better experience.

They are not a substitute for medicine.
