The same sheet of glass can be considered from two different sides. For someone outside, seeing reception may make a place easier to approach. For someone beginning a private conversation, being visible can be precisely what they do not need.

In SUKHUMVIT 105, the glazed frontage and waiting area belong to the more public part of the design. Consultation and treatment rooms ask for different boundaries. I find this distinction more useful than deciding that a whole project should be either open or closed.

I want the building to reveal enough to welcome someone without making everything inside available to everyone. A clear entrance and a room with a boundary can belong to the same architectural idea.
