The Words Beneath the Imageคำใต้ภาพ

The words ‘design visualisation’ are small enough to disappear beneath a beautiful image. They are still worth reading. They tell us what kind of evidence we have been given.

คำว่า ‘ภาพจำลองการออกแบบ’ มีขนาดเล็กพอที่จะถูกมองข้ามใต้ภาพสวย ๆ แต่ก็ควรได้อ่าน มันบอกว่าเรากำลังดูหลักฐานชนิดไหน

The NONG CHOM images let us examine a proposal in considerable detail. We can compare the hall with the sitting area, look through the shelves, and see how the kitchen enters the dining-room view. That is useful work for an image to do. It does not make the image a record of completed construction.

I would rather a reader knew that distinction than carried away an impression I could not support. The image can make a strong design argument. Claims about what has been built, how it performs, or how someone lives there need a different record.

A clear caption does not spoil the picture. It lets the reader decide what to take from it.
