A Developer and a Resident Are Not Opponents
Written by NATTHA / Natthapon Khemmueang
The owner of a development has real questions.
How much can be built? What functions should be provided? How can construction remain sensible? And how can the project remain worthwhile as an investment?

The person who eventually lives there has another set of questions.
Can I be alone when I want to? Is there somewhere to work? Where do all my things go? Will I always feel surrounded by walls? Can this home change when my life changes?
Design becomes interesting when we stop treating these as opposing briefs.
Experience as a designer should not mean assuming we know better than either side. Its value is in recognising where one decision can answer more than one concern at the same time.
That is the middle ground we were looking for in THA MUANG.
THA MUANG
